Dear friends,

 

The first high point from ChileSale is over. Between yesterday and today several animals were sold.

 

For all animals which didn’t receive a bid, you can place a bid until Sunday 30. of March. Please take a look at our buying rules.

 

In the case from those animals that already have a bid, if there is not an agreement between the breeder and the buyer until tonight, then they are again free to receive bids from anyone from tomorrow on.

 

From now on, when an agreement between breeder and buyer is achieved, the animal can immediately be sold and will appear as “sold” in the webpage.

23. March 2008 

After a night to recover energy, everybody is again in Llamas del Sur to start the 2nd day of ChileSale. From 10 am on all participants will be looking at their favourite animals again and examinating them carefully.

 

We want to remember you that bids are received only until 14 hr. Chilean time (18 hr. European time).

 

 

22. March 2008

Today was the individual presentation of all animals. Therefore, a special place was organized, were all participants were sitting on hay balls and were the animals had enough space to move free.

 

The presentation began at 9:30 Chilean time (13:30 European time). The first ones to be exhibit were the llama studs and then the llama females. The participants could observe all animals individually and on request also catch them to evaluate the fibre, teeth, etc.

 

At lunch time we made a stop to enjoy an exquisite smoked salmon with salad. In the afternoon was the turn of the alpacas, first the studs and then the females.

 

Today we had a very warm day (around 30ºC),so at the end of the day some of us enjoyed the swimming pool.

 

Slowly some bids are arriving. We want to remember you that the internet has sometimes some delay, so please be sure to send your bid with enough time and don’t wait until the last minute.

21. March 2008

Our European guests are doing yesterday and today daytrips, to learn a little bit about the surroundings of Temuco. Yesterday they went to Conguillio National park, where the Llaima volcano is, which made eruption a short time ago. Today they went to visit beautiful waterfalls and hot-springs. Lucky the weather is great!

Tomorrow we all come together again in Llamas del Sur, were all animals for sale will be individually presented.

 

 

18. March 2008

ChileSale in only a few days away.

Walter Egen and eight other Europeans are now in Temuco / Chile. The group did visit all animals for the first time today.

If you are interested in a specific animal, you can ask Walter Egen to look carefully at it and tell you his opinion.

ChileSale 2008 is near. All information about the offered Llamas and Alpacas is available now: photos, prices and fibre quality.

 

 

17. March 2008

The alpacas from the different breeders (Machalí, Sturms, El Canelo) have arrived now in Llamas del Sur. 

The chilean Summer was very dry, and therefore there is almost no gras in the pastures and the animals are receiving hay. This week the sun should keep shining, for which our european guests will be sure happy.
